Moodlets and sims not showing + Control panel not showing after exiting build mo

So I am having troubles with my game. I thought i found the mod (Ui Cheats mod) and that worked to show my events because before it wasn’t showing it was glitched badly. But removing that mod don’t solve my other problems with my moodlets and build mode. My moodlets are showing up as blue and are unorganized. Unorganized such as my sims being uncomfortable but having a previous confident moodlet in that place. Another thing is that when I try to click to see more of the moodlets the blue square shows up. With the build mode situation after I exit build mode and i can’t access the control panels i can’t exit my game. I could press exit or the x button for the whole thing a hundred times and nothing will happen. I would still be able to move my camera around the house but not control any sims and have any interactions. I have repaired my game and removed the local thumb package. I also have BE mod to tell me broken mods they think are the problems but it’s really no help with what i’m trying to find. Can anyone help??

  • @ohthatsniaa Hello!  That really is frustrating. It certainly sounds like probably a broken mod, or more.  Have you tested the game without any mods?  That's the only way to know for sure.  If it is mod related, you will first want to make sure you've downloaded and installed the most recent versions.  Even if you have the most recent versions, one or more mods could still be broken and not compatible with the current version of the the game.  I suggest testing your mods/CC a little bit at a time. If you have a lot of mods/CC, the 50/50 method works best.

    1. Divide your mods/CC in half (maybe make a folder on your desktop to hold the half you're taking out).

    2. Before opening the game with the half you're testing, delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder

    3. If the game works with that half, test with the other half. (Again, delete that cache file before opening)

    4. Once you know which half is causing the issue, divide those in half and test again (delete the cache file again).

    5. Repeat the process until you find the culprit.

    I hope this helps!
