Mouse not working after lovestruck download

hi!

i just downloaded lovestruck and my mouse no longer works in game from the moment the game screen pops up. I already cleared my cache, I'm on PC through the EA app. I have tons of add ons and never had an issue with any of them. I don't use mods or cc. any ideas how to fix this?

    heathermariiex  What happens when the mouse stops working?  Does it not respond at all, or does it move on its own, or in the wrong direction?

    Please also disable any apps that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings > Application.
