my sims 4 game keeps crashing to desktop

So recently (after the paranormal stuff update) my game crashes to my desktop. I have done some research online and have tried everything I could find to fix it such as:

- Uninstalling/reinstalling both origin and the sims 4

- Getting rid of all origin cache

- Repairing my game

- Fixing corrupt files on my computer

- Changing origin settings

- Removing all mods

- Clean resetting (I think that is what it is called?) my sims game

- and much more that I cannot remember right now lol

What happens is I launch origin - which launches fine - then when I press play it goes to a black screen, flashes white really fast, goes back to a black screen and then flashes back to my desktop but the game is still open on my taskbar. When I open the game from my taskbar, it just does the same thing all over again. I have no idea what is happening or if anyone on here can help me or if i will have to go to an EA employee themselves, but I really want to play my game! 😢

    Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    - Press Windows-Key + R
    - Type: DxDiag
    - Click on Save all Information.
    - Attach the Text File to your post

    @gwhite96   Is your HP laptop a Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10?  Have you checked to see if there are any Windows 10 updates lately?

    So I fixed the "crashing" problem but now I have another. Turns out that the green check mark next to the windows update doesn't necessarily mean it's completely up to date wtf 😞 Anyway, now the game starts (very slowly) but then freezes on the blue screen with the plumbob and words at the bottom. Actually the plumbob goes away and then it freezes. Any ideas?

    P.S. and to answer your questions there were no lastcrash.txt files and I haven't changed my graphics settings in forever and it still used to play perfectly fine on them.

    @gwhite96 Did you put any mods back or is that still without ?

    if the crashing stopped, I no longer need the lastcrash.txt file.
