My sims wont open the requested operation requires elevation

Whenever I try to boot up my sims game the message "The requested operation requires elevation" pops up, I followed a solution I found on here that included changing my games files to run as non administrator but none of my files are running as such. I have tried a dozen fixes including deleting the whole game and re downloading it. I need help, if anyone else was able to fix it please let me know what you did. I'm willing to reset everything if it means I can play

  • annie_draws5  Did you make sure that none of the game's executables are set to run as admin?  Those would be TS4_x64, TS4_DX0_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64.  Please check the originals in [install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin as well as any desktop shortcut you have.

And are you using an admin Windows account when you try to play?  If not, try doing so.

Separately, does it help to run the EA App (not Sims 4) as an admin?  Don't set the option in Properties; just right-click the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator" to do so that one time.

Hello, I appreciate the help so much. I checked each of those executables and none of them have the option to run as administrator, I don't know if I am missing something (I know nothing about computers lol). I am now checking in my task manager to see if I messed anything up there while trying to fix it earlier. I also tried deleting the bin folder entirely and repairing the game but the pop up still comes up, is there any way to just entirely reset the game entirely and start fresh? I don't love that option but  honestly I just want to play the game at this point and have a backup of my mods and saves.

Where is the game installed, by the way?  You can see it in the EA App under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.  Please list the full path you see there.

Separately, it's worth trying to play in a new admin Windows account.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  You'll be able to (try to) launch the game without reinstalling it.

The idea here is that if the problem is limited to your main account, for example if it's a permissions issue with one of the account-specific folders (like Documents), using a new account would get around the problem.  Regardless of whether you want to use the new account in general, it's a useful test.
