My Sims4 will not launch from the EA app.

I stopped playing for 6 months .  I opened the EA app and clicked on the Sims4  to launch and the game would not open.  The add ons will not open either.  Still will not open, I would love to join in the 25th anniversary because I have been playing all of the Sims from the start.  I do not want to loose my Sims 4 content. The strange thing is , the app is saying that I have played and I have not.
