Sims 4 on new laptop

Recently had hard drive die in old windows lap top.  Bought new windows  laptop  and store was able to transfer everything over.    Game worked fine on old laptop and now on the new laptop it eats up about 1 gb of storage every time it is played.   I have same games and packs  as before and new laptop meets requirements of game and has same amount of beginning storage as old one.  Nothing has changed but the laptop.  If it keeps eating the storage when played the laptop will run out eventually very soon.    Please help
