not able to take days off on holidays sims 4

I am unable to have my sims have an already per scheduled holiday off. When the holiday comes around I have to have them call in to take a day off. I have repaired my game to see if the file was broken but that didn't do anything. What is my next step?

    Hi @Matgie34

    are you using any mods/cc in your game ?

    Did you tick the checkbox for taking a day off for the holiday ? Did you create those yourself or are they premade holidays ?
