Not enough Disk Space?

So, I just updated my game today and when I tried to launch my game it stated I had no disk space. So I decided to remove all my mods and see if that was the issue (figured it wouldn't be, but I wanted to try.) Alas, the mods were not the issue. Every time I try to open the EA App itself or launch my game through Steam like normal I'm told "you don't have enough disk space for this update".

So, naturally, I thought I might finally bite the bullet and try to move my folder out of my local C folder into the nearly 1TB drive I have all my other games (including other Steam games) on. But in trying to move the folder, I'm told there isn't enough space to move the folder. Are there any ways to get passed this, or an alternative way to move my folder's location? I just want to play my game :(

Any help is much appreciated. I'm absolutely terrible with computers and my tech-savvy brother is a little unhelpful when it comes to Sims tech issues lol.

  • ran some disk cleanup. don't know why it never occurred to me to do that, but oh well
