Ondarion Glitch

So I just got the new legacy pack, and I downloaded it. I tried moving my household into the new ondarion world, and the rest of my worlds are fine when i click on them, but if i click on Ondarion to try to move in a household, I am met with an immediate white screen. It is not my mods, I have already checked with and without mods. The issue is persistent. I tried uninstalling simply the legacy pack since I figured it was a world/map error, but it won’t even allow me to uninstall just that pack through EA, it simply won’t even uninstall anything. Im getting very annoyed since I can’t find the solution to this. I have attempted to repair my game MANY times already as well. If anyone knows what to do, let me know please!

  • miadhg  To be clear, you removed your entire Mods folder to test?  I ask because the most common cause of this with any new world is a mod (usually T.O.O.L.) that hasn't been updated to account for that world.  There are of course other causes, but this needs to be tested first.

If you get a white screen with your Mods folder removed, please test with a new save, for comparison's sake.  Maybe your current save is broken.

Yeah! I removed my entire mods folder. I also tested it out with a new save, and it does the same thing, so Im almost sure there was an issue with the pack installation, but I can’t uninstall any packs through EA or Steam either. Im able to load any other world except Ondarion, so I’m very lost on what to do 😅

  • miadhg  Make sure the EA App and Steam are closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager's background processes list.  Open [install location]\The Sims 4, here by default for an EA App or Steam install, respectively:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

Delete the EP21 folder inside.  Then open Delta and delete the EP21 folder there.  Clear the EA App's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Repair the game again, then reinstall R&L and test it in a new save, with your Mods folder still removed.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
