Onedrive Issue

Made the mistake of fiddling with the Onedrive and now it’s not showing any of my saves and saying to start a new game in the Sims 4. All of my saves and stuff are still in the OneDrive documents folder without issue, so I’m not sure why it’s not showing and I can’t seem to find a straight answer.

is there any way to safely move my saves/mods/etc from the OneDrive documents folder?

@najikarainbow22   I don't use OneDrive. I don't need OneDrive. Microsoft really wants you to use OneDrive. If OneDrive is syncing those files are unavailable until syncing is complete. As Microsoft has made it hard to ignore OneDrive I configure OneDrive not to sync the Electronic Arts folder in the user documents folder. Then I check keek files on this computer and the game plays as it should. OneDrive can be uninstalled but then you get a nag notice that OneDrive has an issue.

@najikarainbow22  You can simply open the folder in OneDrive and copy or move the files to the Sims 4 folder the game is reading.  Here's how to find the latter:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

To make sure you're in the correct folder, you can open a File Explorer window, click This PC, double-click the C drive, then open Users > your username > etc. from there.

There's no reason you need to keep OneDrive running or even installed.
