PC falling asleep when paying Sims 4 or after exiting

I have fewer mods/CC then I did last time (and yes I did check playing w/o the mods folder-still happened) .  But I still have the computer freezing up and then falling asleep on me when playing.. Sometimes the freezing up happens after I exit the game and try to do something else  - I can't do anything no mouse, or the task manager short cuts   I have to go underneath the desk to the power cord in order to turn it off.  (PS: the cord thingy has both a lamp, a phone and an answering machine as well as the computer  all plugged into it)    I have the requirements for the game and as far as I know there's no updated drivers for anything.   As far as I can tell there's nothing new in the dixag which wasn't new in one of my previous thread    I do have something extra (I know its not HWI but it's something) of how the computer is when I''m not playing Sims   I'm playing on a desktop PC

For a little while I thought it was because of a mod being in the wrong spot.. because after I fixed that I was able to play for a period of time. Or I didn't have the updated mod.. but I do have updated mods and I still have problems (and like I said even with no mods I still have problems)  The only thing new is I had to get the mouse replace..but i was having problems before then anyway.

The monitor is under the desk almost on the floor (its not touching the floor due to do blocks Dad put there a couple of summers ago) is that a good place for it?

I did check the scfrow thing again and I also tried a memory diagnostic tool-both said the computer was fine.   I have the last Windows updates

I really need to figure out what this problem is because it's preventing me from working on my SimLit
