Playing Sims4 without internet

I lost my internet for 48 hours due to technical problems. I tried to play Sims4 but the EA app logged me out when the internet went down and wouldn't let me log back in without an internet connection. is there any other way to play the game when something like this happens? I cant believe I just paid thousands of dollars for a game I basically don't own.
