Not opening at all even without mods

I tried to start up a sim's game but it refused, I thought it was a conflicting mod so I removed all my mods but even with CC left, it refused to. It opens when I remove everything but crashes after a few moments, others say this has been happening to them too. Is there a way to reverse the update?

I just wanted to play some sims before I go to bed and this happens 💔Hopefully by the morning it'll be fixed

  • Lorilank89 magshilly  If you have any files in ConfigOverride, please delete them.

Otherwise, as a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
