Pop-up about downloading game when updating

Trying to update the game and got the pop-up that says "Downloading The Sims 4 indicates you agree to the following terms of play". I obviously have had the game downloaded for years and am just trying to update the game, is this pop-up normal? I'm worried about ruining save files by rewriting or something like that.
