Re: EA App won't install 4/26 update, can't launch game

EA app prompts me to update, but it still has the 'update required' each time I do it, so it's not updating. Tried repairing the game, but no difference. Anyone else having this problem?

  • the game just doesn't work since the update;

    *tried updating the whole game and exp (doesnt help)

    *tried updating (many times) - it works, 'Update complete'... but just wants to do it again and again and wont let me play ☹️ ☹️

  • You can try these steps:


    1. Manually update the app. With the app closed (even in the task bar) go to Start>EA folder and select EA Updater. Wait for the app to be updated.


    2. Once the app has updated wipe the cache. Again with the app closed, go to Start>EA folder and select App Recovery. Confirm and wait for the app to restart.


    3. Now click on the 3 lines at the top left and select Go Offline, confirm and then click on the three lines again and select Go Online.

    Try and see if that solved the problem.

  • @tc145 mine will almost alll the way update and then EA totally kicks me out. i tried canceling update, restarting computer, updating EA APP, trying it again, now im trying to download origin again to see if i can update the game all the way and then reupload EA APP to actually play. this is such a pain. I tired this all last night too and gave up. What a way to spend my days off this week not being able to play and having to troubleshoot not knowing what's going to work or if it's a sim problem or EA problem. Comment on Lilsimsie on youtube and see if we can get her help

    The first step is enough. I did it and when the opens again, it allows me to play the game.

    Hi there, I managed to fix it. I just logged out of the EA app and logged in again, that seemed to fix it. This EA app is the worst, sometimes I log in, and it says I have no packs, so I have to restart everything to fix it. Nothing but glitches. Thanks for all your help anyway.

    I did all it is and it still didn’t work. It stays at 54% and then it goes down to 6%.
