Re: New sims 4 update has removed mods and ruined game

It doesn't remove the mods but disables them. You can enable them again but should test that they are compatible with the patch.

If your house used custom content this would have been removed if you started the game with mods disabled. The house itself would still be there.

Normally when you build a house it is saved to your library. Did you look there?

    I have had the same problem. I re-enabled my mods, but it still says "this lot can only be edited in world mode" when it didn't before. Also, it doesn't show options for anything. Nothing I click on does anything. I can't even go into the menus anymore - NOTHING shows up. My people move around and do things, and I can see the background and everything, but I have no idea what they're doing, and I can't tell them to do anything because there're no options to click on.

    Just recently, I had an error wherein I could click on options, but not actually see the descriptions; all the text was gone. Now the descriptions and actions options are gone altogether. I had to reinstall my game completely. I have tested my mods and they are not the problem. All of my mods work fine in the game, but every time Sims4 updates - which is basically every time I restart my computer - my game is unplayable. I can't edit the house I've spent days on. I can't actually play the game because I can't click on or do anything. Every time this game updates it ruins the whole game and seemingly the only way to fix it is to keep re-downloading it over and over again, which takes hours.

    You can see on the images that I can't see my character or menu options at all

    Lots of mods are incompatible now. They were disabled for a reason.

    You need to update them. If you have any UI mods, those are all broken. You need to make sure your mods are compatible with the current patch leve.

    Well I had an issue with conflicting mods with the eco lifestyle update where i wasn't able to check my bill info. I disabled all mods, checked that the bill info was showing and then proceeded to do the 50/50 cc method and found the culprit (Hotel Mod V2.4 if anyone has the same problem).

    Now that I can check the bill info all mods are back on in my game and i have restarded my PC after fixing the game but all my sims that were wearing cc clothes, hair and so on are nude!! mods did not come back and I'm just wondering if there is any possible way of getting them back ☹️

    All my cc furniture is back on though, its just with the sims that I am experiencing this problem.

    Thanks!!!

    @anialba

    Since you chose to save the game with it missing the change is permanent. You can try to restore an older save.
