The EXACT same bug is happening to me. I thought the update had somehow corrupted my save, but I tried starting a new one and NOPE. Same issue.
So I guess we get an update that breaks something in the game and then we're supposed to get another update fixing what the previous update caused? I'm sure this isn't the intention, but it seems like it.
The same thing was happening to my husband's game on a different computer, and I had to delete one of his mods he didn't have many because of another update he lost all his saved games and mods, and a few mods were in his trash folder.
When I tried to delete my mods, the problem didn't go away, and I know it can't be my mods because I turned them off and I still couldn't play I really hope they fix this issue soon.
