Hey everyone,
I need everyone's help how to fix my screen to not be a full screen without having to use the game options as i cant even move my mouse when the screen is frozen. Now i'm not a computer genius so if yall could tell step by step that would be great!
AshleeHauver The Options.ini file is in the same location, and you still want to set fullscreen to 0. If you close the file afterwards, it will ask whether you want to save.
Hello i want to thank you for helping me but i recently had a update on my computer and it reset all of the settings i had to change the fullscreen. I know how to get to it and how to search for it but i forgot how to edit it and how to save the settings to it. If you could help me once more that would be appreciated!
AshleeHauver That is NOT the setting I meant. There is a setting that reads
fullscreen = 1
Change this, and only this.
So i was able to set the disablescreensaverinfullscreenmode = 0 but it is still loading up on full screen.
AshleeHauver What happens when you try to change it? The game needs to be closed, of course, but other than that, you should be able to edit it with Notepad, nothing special required.
I have it opened to where i can change the fullscreen settings but I'm trying to set it to 0 but it wouldn't let me change it. How do i edit it?
AshleeHauver Open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, use ctrl-F to search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
