Screenshots/Vids not saving

    It's not much a save problem, as I've been able to save the game this whole time. It's a media creation problem. I tried most of everything to clearing Origin's cache to resetting Sims 4 to default, but most people, especially with really aggressive anti-virus programs need to take a step further in. I have Avast antivirus on my machine and for the most part, all I had to do was add both "TS4.exe" and "TS4_x64.exe" as exclusions to its Ransomware Shield, put the "Origin Games" and "Electronic Arts" file paths into exclusions, and then seeing what that does afterward.

Could be a issue with rights. Does saving work fine ?

Could you try if repairing the game works ?
1. Close the game
2. Right-Click on the game in Origin
3. Hit Repair game.

    @SmoggyLambGG I understand it's not a save problem but I'm curious if it's just these two folders that are posing a problem for you (recorded videos, screenshots)

      I'm not sure how we could tell if any other Sims 4 folders are issues, as it isn't like we routinely make changes to them. I'm not having any issues with other programs saving anything to folders, nor am I having a problem with the game saving properly. It's just videos and sccreenshots. 

      @SmoggyLambGG , you've definitely delved further into this than I have (web dev is my thing, not IT). Am I understanding that you found a way to make it work? Can you explain what you did to reset both caches? I also have Avast, and I understand what you did there.

      I'm technically on a work break right now, but when I go on lunch I'll pop on the home PC and try just the Avast steps. It could be coincidence that both of us have this issue and have Avast, or it could be the answer.
