RubberCement999 This dxdiag has all the usual info and didn't crash. I don't see anything that definitely explains the issue, but I'm wondering whether you've installed Sims 4 on your internal or external drive. The internal one is pretty low on space, so don't try to install it there if it isn't already, at least not without moving around a lot of other data. But it's possible, if the connection to the external is too slow, that that could cause the issue you're seeing.
In the interim, you can try playing in a clean boot:

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example Asus Splended might still be enabled and has been crashing. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.
If the clean boot doesn't help, please try again, except with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
rachline28 You've clearly selected DirectX 9 mode somewhere because the game would default to DX11 mode on your computer. Open the graphics options page and see whether DirectX 9 is checked there. You might need to scroll down. If it's not there at all, open your Steam library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, select Properties > General, and look for -dx9 in the box. If you see it, remove it.
Once you aren't forcing DX9 mode anymore, you should have the Memory Boost feature described in the thread I linked and in the other posts about the feature. It only works in DX11 mode.
And again, let me know whether the game is installed on an external drive.
