Sims 4 Bills

Do you have a really big house? Do you use the heating a bit much maybe?

Ya I got a ridiculously high bill when it was winter time and I had the thermostat set to heat (costs more) you can save on this by buying a fireplace instead, makes a huge difference, but ya it's insane to have a normal bill of over § 1,000 and then a huge bill of almost more than the cost of the entire lot.. I find that purchasing vents (found in roofing items) and having the lower bills trait helps keep them relatively low. My one sim family had a bill of over § 35,000 which I nearly had a heart attack over, and another family I played had a bill of only § 37. 

Thanks for the responses.  I noticed the difference after putting in the thermostat.  The house is a moderate size and hasn’t changed in size

the thermostat is known to really really boost your bills. There's lots of threads over at the officials about it.

Hopefully EA/Maxis consider lowering them a bit.
