Sims 4 crashes before reaching the main menu

ObanTheForg  Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while.  There's no way to tell which save is the problem aside from testing them, individually or in batches.  To cut down on the time you spend, you can initially ignore the files with a .verx extension, as these are backups of the main save with the same number.  If the main save works, the backups are unnecessary (but I'd keep them around for a bit anyway, just in case).

If the main save with a given number does not work, you can try recovering one of the backups manually, as described here:
