sims 4 error code makes game unplayable :( 109:e56fc6bb:b233b104

first the inevitable question: Any mods/cc in your game ?

Does it happen on all households or hare square ? Does Hare Square show as incomplete on the map ?

Have you tried removing the cc/mods to find out if it also occurs without ?

Mine occurs without the mods in the game. I have been dealing with the chat people for two days. I have lost a whole group of Sims to this problem. So I am going to be smart and just go with a new group of Sims and start all over again and bam! If it didn't happen again.

What do you mean you lost a group of Sims?
Please, when do you get this error? 

Did you disable mods or remove them? Or just don't have any?
I guess you tried repairing the game?

Please do a factory reset 🙂 

Try resetting your files to factory settings.

• Make a backup; copy your The Sims 4-folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts to an external drive or somewhere else on your computer, for example your desktop.
• Rename the The Sims 4-folder in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts to The Sims 4_backup
• Start the game, make a new save, and see if the error is gone. 
  (The game will have created a new The Sims 4-folder in your documents, this is supposed to happen)
  
  
  • If yes, continue
  • If no, post a reply telling us the error is still there
• Start putting folders back in the new The Sims 4-folder. Observe! After every file/folder, start the game and make sure it still works, before putting in the next one.
  • Options.ini - your game settings
  • Saves - your old saves. The sub-folders are not needed. If putting these back causes problem, try putting one back at a time.
  • Screenshots
  • Custom music - if you have any
  • Tray - your library objects; like lots, rooms and sims
  • Mods - your mods and cc, might cause problems when putting back

If putting back one of the folders was problematic and you did not work it out, please post a reply and we'll see if we can find what your problem is!

I have been having the same issues with error 109 and 110.

Yes, I do have CC and my game was working fine until I tried to add Story Progression. Ever since I have been getting the error message and if on the odd occasion I do get into the game some objects aren't clickable, mainly sitting objects and the mobile phone has less options.

I have moved mods folder to desktop and tried the game which works better without CC. I put the same CC back in the game from when it was working fine minus the story progression and still get the same error notification.

I created a new saved game and it works normally with CC. Can it just be an issue with that saved game as the new one works fine? Is there a way to save my sims and lots and transfer them to a new saved game as I don't want to lose them?

Not sure if I understand you correctly: If you have no added cc/mods at all, the old save game works or do you get the error

It is possible that the save is corrupted though. You can just save your Sims and lots to your library and place in a new save. You will loose all relationships except relation withing households though.

The old saved game works without the CC.

I have since saved my sims to the library and launched them into the new saved game, however still get the 109 error in the new game with those sims. Weirdly, new sims that weren't brought over from the old save work fine. It just seems to be an issue with any sims from the old save, could they be corrupted?

If you put back your mods/cc, it's more likely that you're still running something that's not compatible with the current patch level.
