I bought a new hp laptop victus for sims 4 and it seems that while it is starting, it goes on infinite white screen. I have rtx 4060 14th gen i5 and 16gm ram. Please help me :(. I updated all the drivers and put my sims 4 in display setting in high performance as well as turning off optimization for windowed games
CRUZADO_101 HP gaming laptops often show a white screen at startup, and there are a few workarounds for this particular issue:
None of these works for everyone, but something almost always does, so keep trying the workarounds until you find one that lets you play.
Sadly none of these work:((((. Is this an eap app problem or a laptop problem. Please help me. Are there any other way?
CRUZADO_101 Try playing in a clean boot:
The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.
I would combine this with the first set of workarounds as well, in case you have multiple issues going on.
