Sims 4 June 2020 update Crashing PC

After the Sims 4 June 2020 update my sims game will not load. It keeps crashing after I push play. A black screen comes up and then crashes. I do not have mods in my game and I have made sure the cache is empty. I need help to fix this issue.

Edit: not sure how I put this on a mac thread, but I am running on windows 10

  • @nylabaeI am still having this issue on PC Windows 10. There is no more updates to run for the game. Not sure what to do now. I tried the firewall/admin suggestions and no luck.

  • Hey! Just logged into Origin and The Sims 4 just started updating again, maybe EA have made an update to fix the issue. After it updated I started up the game without my mods and cc, and it worked fine with all my save files still there. I then put all my mods and cc back into the game and started it up again and it still works! Currently playing it now and all is great and the update has worked!

see if your game has another update too.

I started playing my game after the second patch and it worked fine for 5 1/2 hours of play then it crashed to desktop and won't load the game.  I then came on here and followed all the instructions suggested above and still can not load my save.  It's a legacy family that I was priming for this new pack.  I find it odd that I'm having the problem after they implemented the fix for this on Thursday.  I started playing as soon as the game was released 9 pm pacific time June 4 and it crashed at 2:30 am Friday June 5.  I play on PC.  I repaired the game, cleared cache with ccleaner, cleared dns cache, origin cache etc etc.  Please fix soon.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi everyone,

For those of you playing on PC/Mac:
We released a patch yesterday to address save load crashing issues. This should now be fixed. If you are still experiencing crashes and you don't have any mods installed in your game, please, open a new thread (here for PC, here for Mac) sharing as many details as possible about what you are seeing and what troubleshooting steps you have tried so far. If the patch didn't help it means your crashes are caused by something else. A crashing issue can be caused by many different things, it's best to treat each case separatedly (at least until we find similarities, if there are any).

If you are on Xbox One or PlayStation 4:
Is your game crashing when you try to load your saved game from the main menu? In that case, it's very likely you are in front of a crash caused by a bug in the game. The Sims team is working on bringing the same fix PC/Mac got yesterday to consoles as soon as possible.
For other crashes, please, open a thread here, sharing as many details as possible: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Consoles/bd-p/the-sims-4-technical-issues-consoles-en

I'm locking this thread as to avoid having a mix of different issues here. It's best to have a single thread per issue.

    Thanks,
    -Mai
