MaddieGillard This laptop should run Sims 4 on medium-high to high graphics settings, and it should have no trouble with Sims 2 (as long as you're unaffected by the current launch error or EA fixes it). It isn't any faster in gaming than this one though, just one generation newer; AMD recycled the fastest graphics chip from the 5000-series processors and put it in the one you linked.

This one is a lot faster, in terms of graphics processing power, to the point that it's borderline-capable of running Sims 4 on ultra settings. (That depends in large part on your play style.)

All of this is not to say the one you picked out is a bad choice, only that you could do better in terms of either price or performance. And if the extra storage is important to you, I would point out that external drives are cheap, and 500 GB is more than enough for both games and a giant pile of custom content. Plus, you can't upgrade the graphics chip or the screen in a laptop.
