Sims 4 launches but stops responding at the main menu

Hi my game was working yesterday It was glitching a bit like in build mode everything was on top of each other in the wrong section and I couldn't load the new business and hobbies world at all or the game crashed. I read that TOOL or MCCC could be causing it so I updated them both then my game took forever to load and when I got in to the main menu it wasn't responding. I have moved my mods folder out and deleted localthumbcache. I have tried to repair the game multiple times and it still comes up with the repair option and I have restarted my pc and game multiple times. HELP! I ran a dxdiag and attached it to the post thanks in advance!

  • I'm having a similar issue and it started two days ago. The game launches but freezes on that big stupid ad. The buttons on the ad are nonresponsive. I have to restart my computer to make it go away. That screen has always frozen up on me, but until a couple days ago one restart was enough to get past it and into game. I too have repaired, uninstalled, and reinstalled multiple times. It's infuriating.

  • cara_mon01234  Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the dxdiag.  Please update the driver for your graphics chip.  You can get the newest one here:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-3000-series/amd-ryzen-3-3200u.html

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.

If this doesn't help, please let me know what the current problem is when you're playing with no mods.
