Lily_2324 Your dxdiag lists a few crashes of the EA App, so please do a clean uninstall of the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine). Choose the Advanced scanning method when asked. Restart your computer, download a fresh copy of the App installer, and run it as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Then try again to play.
If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address. You'll be able to sign into the same EA account and (try to) launch Sims 4 and 2. Please try both games and let me know what happens.
