Sims 4 not launching

I've been trying to launch the Sims 4 for days now and despite trying every online workaround it's still not launching. Issues started a couple of weeks ago when EA asked me to reconfirm my game's product key, then weeks later it got stuck on "Preparing game" and now it tells me the game needs to update when it does not.

I've tried clearing the EA app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, repairing TS4 in the app, deleting the "Electronic Arts" folder from my PC, reinstalling the entire game and all of my add-ons, removing any mods, and more. I've attached a dxdiag if anyone could take a look, please. Thank you!

  • @karasuhana211  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), which is more thorough than the standard uninstall process.  I'd suggest uninstalling Sims 4 with Revo too if your download speeds aren't terrible.  Be sure to rename the Sims 4 folder that contains your saves and other user files, the one that was in Documents > Electronic Arts, if you still have it and want to preserve that data.

Additionally, please plug your monitors into your graphics card rather than the motherboard as you've currently done.  Here's a diagram I like to borrow from someone else:

Restart your computer, reinstall the App, and install Sims 4 into a new folder that you create for this purpose.  The folder should be on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.  Let me know whether you can play.
