Sims 4 not loading

I recently updated my game and I am unable to play.  The game will not load.  I've uninstalled and re-installed the game as well as the EA app and it's still not working.  I've cleared my cache and still no game play.  When I try to play it takes me back to the app.  Can someone please provide some assistance on this?

same for me. This afternoon I played the sims without problems. As soon as I did the update I closed the game and I can't start it anymore. Only the EA app opens. Whether I click on the sims icon or if I try to start it from the EA app, it seems that the app closes and opens again, but the game doesn't start :_((

  • robinmcdowell81  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

And if you see an error at any point, please post a screenshot.
