Sims 4 unable to start; tried all fixes the EA team has suggested to others.
I am getting the error, "unable to start" when I try to open the Sims 4.
I have:
-repaired it 4 times
-uninstalled/reinstalled it twice
-uninstalled/reinstalled EA
-cleared cache with the App Recovery
-turned off firewalls and antiviruses
-installed the base game on Steam and connected the accounts to try and circumvent the error (this was a fix a few friends suggested)
-restarted my computer several times
-checked for updates for the EA app (it's up-to-date)
-checked for any updates on my computer (also all up-to-date)
-ran the system file checker AND did the clean boot the EA team keeps telling everyone to do in these posts
*nothing* has worked. What gives?
