mth0721 Repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) rather than updating. This will give you the updated version while requiring less space. You may need to clear the EA App's cache first:

In general though, you should really try to find a way to have more free space on your system drive. It's not healthy for Windows, and can drag down performance in games and in general, to routinely have less than 10 GB free.
