Sims 4 will not launch

Have'nt played the game since January. Updated the the game before starting but it will not launch. The EA app is working fine. The "preparing game" comes a up and the screen becomes black. Then it flashes from black to desktop until finally ending with a white screen and a small blue loading symbol. Nothing else happens. I have a HP Omen 16. 

I have tried to repair the game and uninstall. I have deleted all files completly from my computer to start from scratch. No mods, no previous saves. I reinstalled the updates on the laptop as well. I have tried to move the "sims 4" files from document to the desktop and started the game. Nothing happens. 

Any ideas??? Please!

    ronjapalm​  Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while.

    This is a common error on newer HP gaming laptops (Omen and Victus).  There are several workarounds, none of which work for everyone but all of which help some of the time.  So if you're still dealing with this issue, please try these in whichever order you want and let me know which work for you.  More information would be helpful.
