have you gotten a startup error message as well? i am going through the exact same thing. my sims starts regularly once i hit play, a white screen pops up & the game quickly closes itself. i tried everything from updating my windows & intel, repairing files through both ea and steam, clearing my cache, uninstalling (twice), clearing my mods/cc folder, installing ea through a different microsoft account, and now i added the ts4 bin to the firewall exceptions on both microsoft defender and windows firewall, as well as the launchers for steam & ea... i have no clue how to fix this... do try these options i listed above if you haven’t, maybe you’re luckier than me lol!! i’m terrible with computers and handling files so i have no idea what to do. if your case is similar to mine, could this be a problem on ea’s end?

I've pretty much tried all the above things too. When I was googling solutions I found a whole lotta people saying the same thing, so who knows.
