Hi, I am unable to play Sims 4, Origin had an update go thru and then I paid for paranormal stuff pack and now I cannot get Sims 4 to open at all. I have uninstalled everything 3 times now and cleared cache. I am tired of having to start over all the time! What is the fix for this? Please help
@Noorph Does your computer run Windows or macOS? Have you tried moving the Sims 4 user folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and letting the game create a new one? Please do so if you haven't already. Your saves and other content won't be deleted, just temporarily moved to where the game can't read the files.

I should also add that I did the origin update just before adding paranormal stuff. It seems others are having trouble with that update so maybe it can be that as well that is the problem.

I am on Windows 10 pc. When I click Sims 4 in origin....Origin just blinks for a second. I have talke to 3 reps now and still doesn't work.

sorry to piggy back onto this but I am having a similar issue, I thought it was my cc at first so removed all my mods and still didn't work, removed EVERYTHING then it finally loaded but not the new pack! in game it says reboot to play, but if I scroll down to see packs loaded it says it is, then in cas its saying I do not have this pack?! I reinstalled origin, checked for updates and even ran repair.
I contacted the help desk and all they can say is its apparently a common issue right now but I don't know if they where fobbing me off as I haven't heard anything official? also gave no indication of when the issue might be fixed! ☹️
@Luciferlampmufin What game version do you have? Load the game to the Main Menu, where you can choose to load a save or start a new one, and look in the lower right corner of the screen. Please list the entire version number, i.e. 1.xx.xx.xxxx.
It looks like this issue is also occurring for a friend, she plays on Mac, bought the Paranormal pack but the download button would not do anything and just froze. She uninstalled Origin, restarted the computer and it still doesn't let her to download it. Could there be a an issue with the download service in the backend?
