Sims 4 Won't Launch

I've been struggling to get into my Sims4 game. It shows it opening through the EA app, but then the EA closes like its going to happen but then it (EA app) re-opens like nothing happened. And the game never opens. On HP Victus, Windows 11.

Tried de-installing and re-installing the EA app and the Sims 4 itself. Tried reparing already and nothing happened. I've looked for  the files that show its running like TS4_exe or whatever it is, or the game\bin - couldn't find it - along with reparing it through the EA app among other things. Neither does it show its running on my task manager.

Already tried removing mods and such too - nothing works.

Please help.

  • LokiQuinzel1992  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet either manually or from the Gallery; just start a new save and see how it runs, that if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

By the way, you're looking for TS4_x64.exe, which is inside [install location] > The Sims 4 > Game > Bin.  You can see the install location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.
