Sims Won't Move, Time Frozen, Can't Toggle to New Sim

I've been experiencing this problem for a few months now, where I go into my legacy save and it plays fine for a few minutes, but then suddenly the time stops advancing, my Sims stand still (but still move, swaying their arms, looking around, etc), and I can't toggle to a new Sim in my family. The Sim won't do any of the activities in their queue, they just stand there. Time doesn't move forward, and sometimes actually goes backwards by a minute or two. I can't switch to a new Sim. If it hit the menu button, it will switch to the Sim I last tried to switch to, but then I still can't do anything with that Sim. I've noticed this happens most often when I'm on an infant and then try to switch to another Sim, but that isn't the only time it happens.

I currently have UI Cheats installed, but I have removed everything else that I've previously played with. I have tried to play this completely unmodded, without UI Cheats, and it didn't make a difference. I have also created a new save with my legacy family, since that particular save file was getting old; that has not made a difference.

Any help would be appreciated!

    Wow. I thought I'm the only one experiencing this 🥲 Mine started a day ago, time stops even though I haven't paused the game and my sims are like in an "idle" animation, can't switch to another sim, etc.

      This just started for me too and I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the Reaper Rewards glitching out the game😭

    kep05  Does this happen in a new save with newly-made sims, on a default EA lot (nothing from the Gallery)?  Please test, if you haven't already, and let me know.

    If a new save is affected too, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    bvnzz  Does this happen in all saves, including a new one?  Plese test for comparison's sake.  If the new save is fine, move your existing sims to a different, EA-made lot, as a test.  You don't need to save your progress; just let me know what happens.

    If the new save is affected too, please post a dxdiag, as described.

    This is happening to me as well. Moved the sims into a new save, played for a while, and it happened again. No broken mods, tried repairing and no luck.

      I moved my sims into a new lot and it started working, i think maybe something went corrupted on the lot.
