Sims4 Installing Improperly

Recently, Ive been receive this message on my Sims4 game before launching “An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later”

I’ve literally done ALL the troubleshooting I could possibly do. I’ve removed all my mods, uninstalled/reinstalled the EA App/Sims4 game, cleared cache, repaired, reset my entire computer, changed the installed path, and did everything that was suggested by ChatGpt.

I finally discovered that the folder inside the EA Games folder called “Games” is suppose to have “Bin, Delta, Data, Skins” inside it, mine only had “Bin”.  According to ChatGpt, that’s why my game won’t launch. So again, I did a bunch of things to try to get them to “appear”. Nothing works…has anyone ever heard of this. How did this happen?

Thank you so much for your support. I did all the steps suggested, nothing worked. I had to end up doing a hard reset for my computer and it’s back working. :)

  • BarbraBarracks  This is an excellent example of why ChatGPT cannot be trusted.  The Data and Delta folders are directly inside the Sims 4 folder, at the same level as the Game folder, not inside Bin.  I don't know what the Skins folder is supposed to be, but it sounds like part of someone's Mods folder.  It's not part of Sims 4's program files.  It does exist in Sims 2's program files though.

Anyway, this is the master thread for the "failed to launch game" issue:
