Stuck on initial loading screen prior to main menu.

For the past couple of days my game has been loading up until it hits the first screen with the plumbob. It spins a little then the plumbob disappears, the words freeze and the music stops. When I check my online thumbnail cache folder it has all the images from the main menu inside the folder but the main menu wont load even if I leave it there for hours. I just force close it after a while. Before all of this started I recently downloaded the businesses and hobbies pack and also the adventure awaits pack. I tried purchasing a small business lot for my sim but when I tried to save the game I got error code 13 and it wouldn't save. I'm not sure if my sim got corrupted because when I try to enter her household after that it just immediately crashed my game. I did some research, evicted the household, moved them onto another lot, bulldozed the small business lot, moved the family back into a new house and I was able to play them again. But once I placed the business lot down again to try to run the business again I wasn't able to load into the family even though my sim no longer had ties to the new business lot. After crashing again this is when the game just decided it wasn't going to let me in. Now I'm stuck on a frozen loading screen and all I want to do is play my game. My game is up to date but I've been having this issue before I updated to the latest patch.

I repaired, updated, restarted multiple times, delete my cache every time, used a fresh sims 4 folder, used a fresh mods folder. I don't know what else to do. This is a brand new mini pc, maybe its my driver idk.

I'll attach my dxdiag and paste what my reliability monitor notes say.

  • nellyrozayy  When you tried the clean Sims 4 folder, did you add your saves back before testing, or were you unable to load to the Main Menu even with no saves (or anything else) present?  Did your saves or other files reappear on their own?  OneDrive could redownload them without telling you, so please make sure this didn't happen, and if it did, pause OneDrive syncing and try another clean folder.

AppHangB1 errors are somewhat generic in that they can be caused by a variety of game issues and also by a system issue such as a bad graphics driver.  Your driver is 15 months old, so if the above doesn't help, or you confirm that your clean folder was in fact clean, try updating the driver.  You can get the newest one from AMD here:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-5000-series/amd-ryzen-5-5500u.html

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart afterwards and before trying to play.
