mcmaldonado Try deleting the entire Bin folder. Make sure Steam and the EA App are closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager's background processes list. Open [install location]\The Sims 4\Game and trash the Bin folder. The default path is this for a Steam install:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
Then open Steam, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. This repairs the game, installing the default versions of all relevant files.
If this doesn't help, trash Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. This will revert all your in-game settings to the defaults, including if you've selected DirectX 9 in the graphics settings.
