the game is already running

This is caused by your antivirus blocking access to the Documents folder. Add exceptions for the game files.

I'm having that same issue. It might be for them but I have all my antivirus additions added for the Sims4 and all EA applications. I've repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled and still having the same problem, game will not launch but the EA App launcher works fine, just not once you hit play!

Yes I did restart my computer, also after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Yes I did restart my computer after repairing which didn't help, also restarted after uninstalling and reinstalling with not change.

I am having the same issues since the update. I restarted my computer and honestly I really rather not uninstall and download again.

If those don't help, let me know what antivirus you use, as well as whether OneDrive is running on this computer, even if you don't use it yourself.

I turned off my antivirus, I have uninstalled The Sims 4 AND EA Games, I have reinstalled both, I have tried finding what people are saying to try on this and other forums, but its like no one is running windows 11 with malwarebytes and I can't get passed the "already running" message. Help?
