The sims 4 isn’t loading on my PC

I have been trying to load into the game for over an hour now and it loads in, doesn’t enlarge screen and crashes to EA. I haven’t played the sims 4 in awhile and had a recent resurgence after buying the sims 2. after an update, repairing the game, reinstalling it, and checking for any corrupt files it still isn’t working. Help please !

  • candyhaired  Please force the game to open in windowed mode.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

If that helps, you can try reverting to fullscreen, but at the same time, set the in-game resolution to match your monitor.

If it doesn't help, or you still can't use fullscreen mode, please disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Discord, Steam, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay too, under Settings > Application.

If that doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
