TS4 Launch Error

Launch Error w/TS4 icon shown

Platform: Windows 11 Home (Desktop PC), Steam/EA App
Mods: None (other than CAS items)

I can't get my game to launch at all anymore. It was working fine earlier. Upon opening executable or even clicking "PLAY" in Steam or EA App, TS4 does not even open, and instead I'm given this error. I have tried restarting my PC, updating Windows, re-installing the game itself, and running as administrator. If anyone has a possible solution, please share.

    ugh same thing here. I thought it was happening because I forgot to close the game properly. But I've been playing for the past 2 days, so I have no idea what's going on 😭

    Thank you, it was solved with one of the newer game updates via Steam.

    krayedon​  Do you have Sims 4 set to start with admin permissions automatically?  If so, please remove that setting.  You'd click the executable or its desktop shortcut and select Properties > Compatibility, then uncheck the box to run as administrator.  And of course if you're manually choosing to run as admin each time, stop doing that to see whether it helps.
