TS4 Won’t Launch

Every time I try to launch TS4, it opens to the loading screens for a few seconds and then immediately crashes with the “an error has occurred on our end. Please try again a little later” message. I have looked up every possible solution to fix this and NONE of them have worked. I have never gotten this error before and I’m usually able to fix TS4 tech issues on my own but this is a cry for help. 

I have tried: 

  • removing mods
  • removing game config 
  • removing localthumbcache 
  • renaming “The Sims 4” folder 
  • removing my antivirus protection 
  • updating my drivers 
  • launching using “-dx9” 
  • repairing the game 
  • uninstalling the game 
  • restarting my computer 
  • pausing one drive 

Nothing has worked. I’m getting desperate. Any help or suggestions at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • kavameaa​  Have you tried playing in a new admin Windows account yet?  If not, please do so now.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  You'll be able to launch the game without reinstalling anything.

    If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
