Unable to click on anything then game crashes

I've been having this issue since I updated my game on Friday night. I've been working on a build and without fail every 15-20 minutes (usually it's within a few minutes of entering build mode) I'll click on an object to move it but then I can't place it down no matter how many times I click, then if I go back into Live mode I can't click on anything to interact and then the game freezes and I have to force quit.

I only use TOOL and Better Build Buy, which I have updated, synced, and ultimately removed both and followed TwistedMexi's instructions for uninstalling the mods. The issue appears to happen regardless if the mods are installed or not. I have also repaired the game twice, started a new save file, and nothing seems to work. I can't seem to find any malware on my computer, I've deleted every download of the outdated versions of the mods I use, deleted the cache files and I've tried every suggestion I could find online. I'm terrified of uninstalling and reinstalling because I do not have my save files baked up and I don't want to lose all my progress so uninstalling is my absolute last resort option. I am hoping someone has some advice before I have to go that route... Has anyone experienced this? Is my game corrupting itself from the inside out? Please what do I do??!!!
