Unable to do any actual gameplay

So as of yesterday I went to play my sims and I had played it 2 days before hand and everything was fine but yesterday I booted up my game a noticed right away that my settings had changed and the sims loaded up in a small window instead of full screen and was windowed too. I didn’t think too much of it and put the setting back to how I had them before. I loaded up my household and as soon as the game loaded me in I couldn’t see anything in my world just a black screen and any buttons I hit would load onto the screen but when I minimized them they would stay but become see through. I tried repairing the game but that didn’t help. I even tried making a new save and trying to recover the old save as well but the same thing just kept happening.

create a sim works but when I comes to actual gameplay my game just isn’t working. I submitted a complaint to ea but they just closed my request without saying anything.
is my game permanently broken?

  • kashley67  It looks like you might not have a proper graphics driver installed at all.  So please download the newest driver for your graphics card or chip and install it.

If you don't know how to do this, or it doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
