Updated with mods

I've found following this checklist after any updates while playing with Mods to be very helpful: 

- Before updating-
1. Cut and Paste the Mods folder, outside of the Sims 4 folder. 
2. Locate and Delete the package inside the Sims 4 folder, titled "localthumbcache" 
(Recommend Copying and Pasting the Saves and Tray folders as well, just to be safe)
3. Update your game. 
4. Load game with 0 Mods or CC installed, and playtest for 1-2 Sim days to confirm the game is working correctly without additional player added content.
5. Exit game, and update broken Mods. 
(I use the Broken Mod Lists by Scarlet's Realm and LuthienRising on the Sims AHQ) 
6. Delete the localthumbcache package from the Sims 4 folder and replace the Mods folder in the Sims 4 folder, with the one you Cut and Pasted in step 1. (this folder should contain your updated mods) 
7. Load game and play. 

)) I've found this process does not disable your Mods after an update and cuts down on Save and CC corruption. I've been consistently updating my game this way for years, and only realized recently, that other Simmers do not playtest their games or clear their mod script caching after updates, and are causing a lot of problems to their games by not doing so, and decided to start sharing my experience (( 

- If you're resetting the localthumbcache package after updates already, try deleting the Game Version Text located inside the Sims 4 folder. Sometimes this "gets stuck" I'm not really sure, but it doesn't update correctly, and then nothing you do will make the game recognize your mods- 

It should be stated as well, that Simmers who use Mods for Game Enhancement, should be deleting the localthumbcache package any time a mod containing a TS4Script is added, deleted, removed (including the folder) updated or the game is updated. (this has cut down dramatically on my need to do a Repair or locate corrupt CC) - and is advised by all major Modders in their descriptions.
