Video Card unrecognized

Everytime i load into the game and get to the main menu i get the dreaded "Video Card not recognized" bubble then my graphics go down the toilet.  Ive tried a few different fixes and doubled checked that my system has everything needed to run the game, I use to not have problems with the  game recognizing my video card.  I dont know what to do, I have a NVIDIA RTX 4060 and am wondering if this is just a temporary game fluke that will be fixed?

  • CurlyCurls21  Is Sims 4 actually using the RTX 4060?  Please open Config.log, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, scroll down about 30 lines, and check the GPU listed there.

If you don't see the 4060, please tell me what's there, and also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Either way, I'd also like to know what you mean when you say that your "graphics go down the toilet."  Post a couple of screenshots if it's easier.

  • Thank you so much for reaching out to help, ive tried everything i can think of so resolve this in case it wasnt the game.  So in the Config.log it shows my gpu and says Found 0, Supported 1.  Ill also edit a video to correct MB size so i can send it to you so you can see how my fps drops, sorry thats what i meant.

Do you happen to see any solution? I would appreciate some additional feedback,
