Why do I have 2 installs of the game?

I was clearing up some space on my PC, and for some reason I have 2 Sims 4 in my apps list. Not 2 folders. 2 apps. And one is 72GB???

I just tried launching my game, and the date only updated on the bottom one, not the top. Does that mean I can delete the top one? I don't want to loose any of my saves, but 72gb is a good chunk of storage to get back.

can you find out what the path to those are ?

There's usually 2 folders: The user folder where your saves and mods and stuff are and the installation folder with all the packs.

If you have lots of saves and lots of cc/mods, that could explain the 72 GB.

Hi Cinrict, as I mentioned in my post, these aren't the folders these are 2 separate apps within my PC's app list. I'm not able to get to the folder directory from this list unfortunately.

I only have 2 mods installs (BBB and TOOL) and no CC. I checked my saves list and I have 9 save games, although I know one of them is probably quite large as it's my build save

The second one should be the game. The first one even has some generic icon so no idea what it could be unless you found out where it's installed. The game with all it's pack is 78.1 GB currently and the 26 GB is what Windows recognizes as size for base game. Do you maybe have base installed for both Ea app and Steam ?

If you search for Sims in the search bar instead of installed apps do you also get both ? If you click on preview you should get the option to find the place where it's installed
