Yesterday's score has been reset

I played sims4 last night and this morning all the changes I made have been reset..strangely the event quest, wich I completed is still marked as 'completed'. All the changes I made to the Sims I played with and their house and status have been deleted. How can I get my content back? Has anyone had similar problems? What should I do?

That's because you are using Better Exceptions from Twisted Mexi, it's not where the game files of your save are stored.  It just says 'saves' and you won't be able to open those files as they are only useable for the game itself.  Just check if anything is in the save file.

You gave the path 'Documents\Electronic Arts\Die Sims 4' but is your documents folder saved on your C drive or on Onedrive?
It's the cloud service Windows uses. On the bar where you see 'Documents\Electronic Arts\Die Sims 4'  click on it and the actual path will come up, there you will be able to see if it's on Onedrive.  Mine is  :  C:\Users\name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

The problem with this cloud service is that your saves/documents are on a server ( computer) somewhere in the world and sometimes things tend to randomly appear and disappear.

  • it's under: Documents\Electronic Arts\Die Sims 4 and it's called lastException_63875039266, the size is 7,46KB and when opened it basically shows the things I did in the game but in text/code form

  • 2yy6wsto3gzq  A text file has nothing to do with saves and wouldn't help here.

What exactly is this file you found: what is its exact name, what file type does File Explorer say it is, how large is it?

I think there is just a text/ document -file and no 'save' file..do I have any chance to still reclaim the progress?

Thank you so much for the response! I am quite certain that I found the correct file but I don't know how to access it..is there any chance you can give me details on how to do that? I'm sorry but there is a lot about the background sience of computers I have no clue off. I'm a book person :) Thank you for your support

  • 2yy6wsto3gzq  If your progress didn't save, then it's likely gone, although you can always look in OneDrive to see whether a newer save was uploaded or renamed.  Here's how:

[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 saves/user content disappearing (PC) | EA Forums - 11838402

If you don't use OneDrive, it worth checking the saves folder inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 for any file with the correct time stamp as well.

If you can't find the save file in either of these locations, there's unfortunately nowhere else to look.

The login event progress gets synced with EA servers once you've finished any set of tasks.  So it's not a surprise that the game still knows you completed the tasks.
